Meet Kay Lokey

25 years of service. A lifetime of commitment to community.

Kay Lokey — candidate for Sumner County Commissioner, District 17

Candidate · District 17

Hello District 17, I'm Kay Lokey.

For 25 years, I wore the badge, retiring as a Deputy Chief of Police from the Metro Nashville Police Department. I managed massive budgets, led teams under extreme pressure, and made public safety my life's work.

Now, I am ready to bring that same dedication, truth, and transparency to the Sumner County Commission.

Sumner County is growing rapidly, and we need leadership that manages growth responsibly, supports our first responders, and protects your tax dollars. I'm not a career politician — I'm a retired Chief dedicated to keeping our neighborhoods safe and thriving.

Together, we can tackle the challenges ahead.

Rooted in Community

Kay has spent her career standing up for the people of this region — not just as an officer, but as a neighbor, an advocate, and a community member who shows up when it matters.

From fighting for victims of domestic abuse to supporting community organizations across Sumner County, Kay brings the same energy and commitment to every cause she takes on.
